This event is the largest form of American Indian artistic and cultural exchange in the State of Illinois, providing a platform for self-representation through traditional Native art forms (visual and performing) which has become an indispensable and defining cultural endeavor in Native Chicago.

Host Organization: Korean Cultural Center of Chicago Partner Organization: Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago Experience a rare opportunity to listen to the sound of a Daegeum, a traditional Korean bamboo flute, played by an artist-in-residence at the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago, along with other woodwind accompaniments. Participants will listen to both traditional 16th century Korean music and Western-influenced pieces composed for Daegeum.

Host Organization: Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center On-Site & Virtual Exhibition Opening Program In the summer of 1969, a six-day clash between police and LGBTQ+ civilians ignited, sparking the rise of the gay liberation movement and fundamentally changing popular discourse surrounding LGBTQ+ activism in the United States. The Stonewall Uprising was the culmination of years of LGBTQ+ activism, led by pioneering Upstanders that shifted the movement nationwide from thousands to millions – each fighting for fundamental human rights.
