Host Organization: Korean Cultural Center of Chicago Partner Organization: Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago Experience a rare opportunity to listen to the sound of a Daegeum, a traditional Korean bamboo flute, played by an artist-in-residence at the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago, along with other woodwind accompaniments. Participants will listen to both traditional 16th century Korean music and Western-influenced pieces composed for Daegeum.

This event features selected works from HAMOC’s traveling exhibit “We Walk”, that celebrates Black history and culture, music commissioned by Crossing Borders Music of Haitian and Black composers and a workshop with a local Lawndale artist led by the Lawndale Pop-Up Spot.
